How To: Replacing An Inline 20 Micron Well Water Filter

I’m using a high flow /large 20 micron water filter to filter out large sediment, mainly fine island iron red sand that gets into all the pipes and bottom of toilets and such.

I don’t care for anything finer as bacteria and such is generally good for you so I don’t want to filter bacteria out of it – it is tested to ensure that bacteria isn’t over certain levels.

I walk through the process and tell you how I do it according to my own installation. I replace this about every 6 months or so and I regularly monitor the colour of it, since the more brown it gets, the more clogged it is.
