How to install RAM in a 2010 iMac. Pretty simple. I got my iMac with only 4 gigs in it, 2 x 2 gig sticks. I purchased a 4 gig stick. You unscrew 3 screws on the bottom of the iMac (when its turned OFF of course), slide the ram into a free slot in general, make sure its snaps in snuggly, then close it up, boot up the iMac and check the system preferences or activity monitor to confirm the system reads it.

Thats it really, one of the easiest things you can do to improve performance of any computer (assuming it has replaceable / upgradable RAM!)
