Today i moved my broody hen to a more secure location. I think the rats had been in the tractor coop at night, scaring the hen off the eggs temporarily and stealing one egg at a time or something like that. As i got there one morning and not a single egg, or even a trace of an egg was left :/ . I moved her to a more secure coop where hopefully she will continue as normal and I stuck 5 new eggs under her.
I noticed as well letting her out during the day with the other birds distracted her as the roosters would woo her away from the nest all day so I think I’ll just let her sit in the coop for a week or two.
Trial an error basically, hoping to get our first hatch with a broody hen!
