Fruit Tree Watering Tip – Soaking it weekly

If you’ve ever bought / planted fruit trees, you’ll know that you’re supposed to soak the roots well once a week to keep them well watered. You could stand there with a hose for 10 minutes and have half the water wasted – or you could punch a small hole in the bottom of a 5 gallon bucket, fill the bucket with water and let the bucket ‘leak’ the water over the next hour straight to the trees root. This way no water pools and runs off, less evaporates and most of it gets straight down to the roots of the tree and takes a lot less time as well!
