One of the things you need to do around the homestead is clean and maintain all your batteries, whether for solar power or for cars or tractors.
This is a maintenance tip for you. If your battery terminals are all covered in puffy battery acid, you can take a quarter cup of baking soda mixed well with a litre of water and pour it slowly over the acid. The acid will bubble and dissolve and start to run off the side of the battery as you pour cleaning the terminals for you.
Be careful! The battery acid is corrosive if it splashes on you or you touch it!
Quick way to clean it and get it ready for terminal removal or wire brushing if your contacts are dirty.
