As discussed in my prophecy update blog, this year has a lot of things to look forward to. The end of the world? yup. Hey, if you know where you’re headed should the end of the world come, its exciting. The return of Jesus should be exciting for all born again Christians. If you’re worried about the end of the world, it basically means you aren’t sure of your destiny, your God (whomever /whatever that may be).
First order of business – find Jesus.
Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Done your business with the creator of the universe yet? If so, excellent, you have no fear of things to come whether it be financial collapses, earthquakes, or any number of worrying events.
Its really not time anymore to be hesitate on that anymore.
Beyond that, it will be an exciting year prophetically and with our family. My main goals this year aren’t for any big vacations – though I would like to go camping a few times – and its not to make piles of money. One of my goals this year is to raise a pig and some more meat birds. I hope to get more work on the house done, maybe finish the front porch?? (requires paint and some fixing of the gingerbread). This should be the first year that our kids can really enjoy the outside with much less of our supervision. Arden is old enough now to play outside mostly on her own or with Jack as we tinker about the property.
I hope to get some large gardens going and grow a bunch of our food or food for chickens though that would supply all of our needs, family or livestock.
Thats the bulk of it, just enjoying Gods green earth, the little patch we are blessed to live on. Another goal as well is to be more content with what we have. Spend less, make due with what we have a little more, try to live more within our means.
Oh, and I’d like to build a dining room table this year… not sure if I’ll decide to buy wood, or try to make one from good old barn board that we already have lying around… we shall see – ideas springing up as I type this.
That is all for now…
