I’ve found time is just flying by so quickly, week days to week ends and back. Days are filled up with work day in, day out, and evenings are often scheduled or require some job to be completed. Jack is 2 months old, Arden is 50% potty trained and the real summer here is fast approach in (July, August, September). Once we’re into July its visitors, visitors visitors and lots of festivals, church picnics, trips to the beach (and hopefully some seadooing in there somewhere).
And then all the house repair, and then the mowing and up keep of the new property. Then we had some WRIG folk (Wheatley River Improvement Group) over to assess the property and figure out what was best for it.
So many things, so little time sometimes it seems. I suppose it will be a whole other story once we have kids in sports of some kind.
Luckily the PRE summer stuff hasn’t ended yet. If we were through to summer fully and I didn’t realize it until then I would have thought I missed spring! (ya, I still consider it spring when its not fully tourist season or warm out all the time)
Some amazing things happening on the prophetic side of things too on the world stage. So many little things that are all working to take us to a particular place, its all setting the stage of bible prophecy (As Jimmy Deyoung likes to phrase).
I really enjoy this world and this life and sometimes I wish it would never end but we are the few who live in relatively good conditions with few troubles, there are millions, billions more who live much more trying lives. I enjoy my things, and my family and living in PEI. My hope is for the return of Jesus though and then the cascade of events that ends up in a new rebuilt earth where all is wiped away here, paradise is restored and we live in unity with Christ forever.
Mark 4:19 (KJV) “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”
God doesn’t want us all to be poor, He enjoys blessing us and has no problem when we have money or things in this world. The issue comes in when these things change our focus from primarily faith in God to faith in our things or simply that our things take time away from God so much so that our relationship with Him is hurt. Life is brief here:
James 4: 14Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.
Days and weeks go by quickly yes, so even more we need to ensure we are focused on the right things, the things that will count into eternity.
